VIRTUAL VOLUNTEER EVENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

As an attendee at this virtual volunteer event (the “Event”), I hereby agree and consent to the following terms related to non-profit organizer Friends of Chester A. Arthur (“FOCA”):

1. Waiver and Release:  I release and forever discharge and hold harmless FOCA and each of its directors, officers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind of nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from the Event. I understand and acknowledge that this release discharges FOCA from any liability or claim that I may have against FOCA with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, emotional or social injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result. FOCA is not responsible for the opinions and/or statements of any participant at the Event. 

2. School District of Philadelphia: I acknowledge that the Event is organized by FOCA and is not associated in any way with the School District of Philadelphia. Any individual employed by the School District of Philadelphia who is attending the Event is doing so on a purely volunteer basis.

3. Photographic Release: I grant and convey to FOCA all right, title, and interests in any and all photographs, images, video, and/or audio recordings of me (and any member of my family with me) or my likeness or voice made by FOCA in connection with the Event.

4. Other: I expressly agree that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the same. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release is deemed invalid, the enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Release shall not be affected.

5. Retention of Data: I certify that I consent that the personal information provided may be used to send promotional or non-promotional direct mail or email communications related to FOCA, its events, and initiatives. I further certify that I am 18 years of age or older, understand these terms, and agree to receive promotional or non-promotional updates via email (or mail) from FOCA. I understand that I may revoke this consent at any time by contacting FOCA by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any FOCA email or contacting FOCA on its website (http://www.friendsofchesterarthur.org/contact).  

By signing below, I express my understanding and intent to enter into this Virtual Volunteer Event Release and Waiver of Liability willingly and voluntarily.
