STEM @ ARTHUR

Arthur is committed to providing students with the best experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEM).  They have a STEM coordinator, ensuring that every student K-8 has access to the various STEM programs the school offers.  Thanks to many generous donations and grants, they’ve just upgraded their technology so that every student K-2 has an iPad, 3-5 has a laptop, and 6-8 has a chrome book.  On this technology, students will be able to access software for individualized learning to allow them to approach the broad subjects they tackle at Arthur at a speed and on a level that works for their own learning needs.  Students will also have access to the Wildcat Workshop, Arthur's very own makerspace, to allow them to explore creative thinking and problem solving while designing and creating their own ideas. Arthur is also very excited to be named a pilot school for the US2020 Philadelphia program which will bring high-quality STEM mentors into Arthur to expose students to the many possibilities that await them in life.

FoCA is very proud to support STEM education at Arthur.  We raise funds to help purchase technology and software, build the makerspace, support afterschool programs such as Robotics and Civil Engineering club, and much more.  Your donation helps us to support these great programs and initiatives.
